Algarve Birdwatching Tours
Our aim is to take bird lovers and birding enthusiasts on outings to see as many of our local Algarve birds as possible. It is not necessary for you to be an experienced birder - all you need is enthusiasm!
You decide when you or your party want to book - we have no fixed or set dates. Minimum group of only 4 participants per tour. Why not ask a few friends or family to come with you – you will be surprised at how inexpensive these tours are. And they offer you the flexibility of choosing when, where and with whom you travel.

Full-day Great Bustard Tour
The Great Bustard, one of the world's heaviest flying birds, inhabits a huge area of uniform countryside in the Baixo Alentejo and can sometimes be difficult to see unless you know where to look.
Other species that can be found include (according to season) Black-bellied Sandgrouse, Calandra Lark, Lesser Kestrel, Griffon Vulture, Spanish Imperial Eagle, Common Crane, European Roller, Short-toed Eagle and Black-winged Kite.
Half-day Flamingo Tour
Famingos can be found in the Ria Formosa and Castro Marim areas more or less throughout the year but they are harder to find during the summer months when the majority have left Portugal.
Sometimes they can easily be seen in large numbers with no more than a short walk.
We can also expect to see Spoonbills and a selection of wading birds according to season.
Bird Watching - Breaks
Portugal, and in particular the Algarve, is an underestimated destination for a wildlife holiday.
The picturesque towns of the Algarve make an ideal base, whatever the time of year, for a wonderful birdwatching breaks in the Algarve and Baixo Alentejo.
Tours may cover several different habitats dependent on season and tides - salinas, saltmarsh, hills, steppe grasslands and woodlands.
